LUNAFEST: Films By, For and About Women Comes to Boston

BOSTON - (March 4, 2008) The Boston LUNA Chix welcome LUNAFEST®, the fundraising film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women’s issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing women together in their communities, to the historic Coolidge Corner Theatre on Monday, March 10. The film festival features women as leaders in society, illustrated through nine short films by women filmmakers. The films range from animation to fictional drama, and cover topics such as women’s health, motherhood, body image, sexuality, cultural diversity, and breaking barriers. More

Alison Dunlap and the Boston LUNA Chix to Host MTB Clinics at Pedro'sFest
BOSTON - (July 11, 2007) Olympian and World Champion, Alison Dunlap, returns to New England this weekend to literally set up camp at Pedro's Mountain Bike Festival in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Dunlap and the Boston LUNA Chix Cycling Team will arrive at the Festival on Friday to pitch tents, light the grill and settle in for a weekend of single-track riding with several thousand of their closest mountain biking friends. The Berkshires' reputation for "go-to" mountain biking will get a leg up on Saturday and Sunday when Dunlap hosts clinics for Festival participants to sharpen their skills, learn new ones, or just come away with the right to brag about riding with an Olympian and world mountain bike champion. Boston LUNA Chix Race Report from Brialee Ramblin Rumble

ASHFORD, Conn. - (May 13, 2007) Perfect race weather in the mid-60's and a course that played to the strengths of skilled technical riders helped earn the Boston LUNA Chix its fourth podium finish of the season today at the Brialee Ramblin Rumble. The third race in the venerated Root 66 Race Series, the Ramblin Rumble brought nearly 250 racers from points all over New England to try their luck on some classic East Coast singletrack. More

OK, OK, you might expect that a review of the LUNA Bar by the LUNA Chix would be a biased review. The truth is, these bars are tasty! If we didn't like LUNA Bars to begin with, we wouldn't be on the team.

My favorite LUNA bar on the trail is the Toasted Nuts and Cranberry flavor, because it isn't too sweet and doesn't have a coating on it to melt - perfect for a hot summer day!

However, when I need a good pick-me up snack, I opt for either the LemonZest or if I need chocolate, I prefer the Chocolate Pecan Pie. Both flavors are yummy and are a perfect choice for those 3:30pm hunger pangs.
